Words from the editor
Craft breweries and their brewers are at the forefront of a positive cultural change within urban communities across North America. The age-old pub has now become the tasting room. Beer is the delicious medium these modern entrepreneurs use to share their stories and express their opinions regarding the health of their cherished local communities. In this issue, we talk to some of the most influential voices in the industry, including Josh Vanderheide of Field House Brewing. We ask them to wax poetic on the current state of culture, what keeps them up at night, and “The Next Big Thing” in urban placemaking.
